National Guild of Pearl K. McGown Rug Hookrafters Membership provides you with a quarterly newsletter and information on professional classes. You can join this organization as a member of a local organization or as a member-at-large.

Association of Traditional Hooking Artists (ATHA) ATHA exists to help people express themselves through fiber art. There are 17 Regions with individual Guild chapters within each Region. Local Guilds require members to belong to ATHA by paying annual membership dues in addition to local dues. Or, you may be a member at large, without being associated with a Guild Chapter. ATHA sponsors a convention every-other year and publishes a magazine six-times a year.

The magazine provides high-quality photographs and how-to articles on techniques and projects. Rug Hooking Magazine also publishes many books on rug hooking.
